About This Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department is a clinical leader responsible for overseeing quality patient care delivery and the daily functioning of the unit, working alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

- Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift
- Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
- Ensure the integration of PHR into clinical activities.
- Assist in the validation of staff members rounding hourly on all patients.
- Assess staff competency in PHR and provide feedback.
- Conduct rounding of all patients daily when Nurse Manager is away.
- Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
- Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate.
- Follow up on all patient concerns in a timely manner.
- Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required;
Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.
- 3+ years minimum clinical nursing experience;
Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
- Current RN License in New York State.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
