The Registered Nurse Instructor at NYU Langone Hospital
- Brooklyn is responsible for providing orientation to new staff, teaching required courses, and delivering educational programs based on performance management and staff needs. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with a passion for education and training.

• Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift

• Create spreadsheets, reports, and templates for Site Leadership.
• Include age-specific considerations in educational content.
• Participate in the planning and analysis of educational programs.
• Provide teaching instructions to new staff and assess competency.
• Confer with the Director of Nursing Education regarding new hires' competency.
• Meet regularly with Orientees, Preceptor, and Nurse Manager to review progress.
• Complete and maintain attendance sheets, program evaluations, and reports.
• Participate in ongoing competency assessment of nursing staff.
• Plan and teach formal and informal education to promote safety and quality.
• Review/revise Instructors and Nursing Education orientation manuals.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree in Nursing Education required
• Experience: 4-5 years of recent full-time nursing experience required
• 2-3 years recent experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, and/or Emergency Department required
