Nurse Practitioner – OBGYN Overview
- The Nurse Practitioner – OBGYN is responsible for delivering high-quality medical care within their licensed scope of practice.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellence in patient treatment and satisfaction.
- Utilize state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to perform advanced medical procedures.
- Educate patients on infertility evaluations, medications, and treatment protocols.
- Coordinate patient treatment plans, including Egg Freezing, IUI, IVF, and Frozen Embryo Transfers.
- Perform ultrasounds, intrauterine inseminations, and routine phlebotomy as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation in women's health and fertility care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Evaluate and medically treat patients following established medical standards of care.
- Oversee and manage the delivery of medical services by the medical staff during shifts.
- Collect and process biological specimens for testing as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records using EMR systems.
- Educate patients on treatment protocols, medications, and procedures.
- Provide counseling and support to patients and couples undergoing fertility treatments.
- Perform ultrasounds and intrauterine inseminations as part of patient care.
- Maintain a compassionate environment by offering emotional and psychological support.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented medical center environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current and valid NY or NJ state Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP or Certified Physician Assistant Licensure.
- Unrestricted, active, and current DEA number/license, if applicable.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fertility or OB/GYN practice; 3+ years preferred.
- Ultrasound experience and a passion for women's health and fertility are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and ability to adapt to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and retain focus on patient satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and float between locations as needed.
