NP Psych Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Part-Time Psychiatry Opportunity | Up to 10 Hours Weekly | 5-Year Contract

Take advantage of a unique, long-term opportunity providing psychiatric services to individuals receiving OPWDD services throughout the Finger Lakes region of New York. This position offers a flexible schedule of up to 10 hours per week with a strong preference for a provider who can commit to the full five-year contract term

Position Overview

• Profession: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) / Psychiatrist

• Service Area: Monroe and Wayne Counties, NY

• Additional Coverage: Livingston and Ontario Counties as needed

• Patient Population: Adults and children receiving OPWDD services

• Job Type: Contract / Part-Time

• Commitment: Must be willing to commit to the full five-year contract term

Minimum Requirements

• Psychiatrist: Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State and provide proof of completion of an accredited general psychiatry training program accepted by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

• Psychiatric NP: Must hold an active New York State RN license and be certified by the New York State Education Department in a psychiatric specialty.

• NP Collaborative Agreement: Psychiatric NPs must maintain a collaborative practice agreement throughout the contract with a physician qualified to collaborate in psychiatry, unless the NP meets the applicable qualifications under the NP Modernization Act
  .

• Must be enrolled as a Medicaid and Medicare provider
  .

• Must have experience providing psychiatric services to both adult and pediatric populations
  .

• Must not appear on any state or federal exclusion or prohibited-provider list that would prevent the individual from submitting Medicaid claims.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills required.

• Must be able to provide services at designated clinics across the assigned service area.
