The Clinical Nurse Manager for Pediatric Medical Surgical Units at New York-Presbyterian is responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting a culture of safety and quality. What You'll Do
  • Manage the delivery of patient care in Pediatric Medical Surgical, Oncology, and Progressive Care Units.
  • Facilitate efficient daily operations related to patient throughput, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality by implementing established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Care Director to establish unit goals aligned with the hospital's strategic goals.
  • Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.
Requirements Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Experience
  • A minimum of two years acute Pediatric nursing experience required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
  • BCLS certification required
  • National Certification preferred
