• Delivers safe, competent, quality patient care by applying the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and approved nursing standards.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs, applies critical thinking, and integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
• Prioritizes patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after-hospital care, and delegating as appropriate.
• Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention, while establishing therapeutic relationships and communicating effectively.
• Practices safe and efficient patient-centered care, documents accurately, supports quality and safety practices, performs charge nurse duties as assigned, and facilitates patient throughput.
