General Description
SUNY Niagara has an immediate need for a part‑time instructor to teach in the clinical area of Psychiatric nursing within the Associate Degree Nursing Program. This position is a 15‑week appointment consisting of two 6.5‑hour clinical days per week. Schedules may vary based on the candidate’s availability. The pay for the appointment is $11,739.

Typical Work Activities / Essential Functions

• Teach a diverse student population in the psychiatric clinical setting.
• Speak in front of groups and communicate effectively with students, co‑workers, supervisors, and the campus community.
• Develop, prepare, and present course materials.
• Operate computers and perform day‑to‑day clinical teaching duties.
• Physically perform the duties of the position as required.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Recent (within five years) acute‑care clinical experience.
• Either hold a Master’s of Science in Nursing or be currently enrolled in an MSN program (or intend to enroll during the academic year).

Desirable Qualifications

• Master’s of Science degree in Nursing.
