About This Role
The Per Diem Assistant Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery is a Registered Professional Nurse who acts as a clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

- Pay: $65 - $65 Hourly
- Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
- Ensure the integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
- Validate staff members round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
- Assess staff competency in PHR and provide consistent meaningful feedback.
- Conduct rounding of all patients on a daily basis (Monday-Friday).
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative information regarding the patient experience and staff engagement.
- Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate.
- Follow up on all patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery as needed.
- Design, support, and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.
Education:
- Bachelor Science Nursing (BSN) required, MSN strongly preferred
- 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred
Certifications:
- Current RN License in New York
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
