About This Role
The Nurse Specialist
- Wound/Ostomy at NYU Langone Health supports nursing quality and safety programs, facilitates quality improvement initiatives, and assists in regulatory compliance and patient care strategies.
- Pay: $135,199 - $152,250/year
- Location: New York, NY
- Facility: NYU Langone Hospitals
- Department/Unit: NYU Langone Hospitals
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift
- Support the organization's Quality Safety and Performance Improvement Plan.
- Utilize and communicate evidence-based practice in quality and performance program development.
- Articulate understanding of nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrate understanding of nurse-sensitive quality and clinical indicators.
- Assist with review and development of interdisciplinary standards.
- Participate in RCAs, FMEAs, and assist in corrective action plans.
- Support unit-based leadership in developing performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate activities to promote compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide education to nursing staff on performance improvement methodologies.
- Stay informed about current clinical practice and participate in leadership development programs.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required;
Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred or in progress.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience in acute care nursing.
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse License in New York required.
- Basic Life Support Certification required.
- Wound Ostomy Nurse Certification preferred.
