The Registered Nurse Per Diem Peds Ortho Clinic position at NYU Langone Health involves providing patient care with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Pay: $65 - $65/hour
• Location: New York, NY
• Facility: NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Collect patient healthcare data systematically and on an ongoing basis using appropriate assessment techniques and instruments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the NYU Langone Health Core Values and incorporate these into the performance of responsibilities.
• Collaborate with the members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships.
• Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane and caring environment.
• Support the mission, philosophy, standards goals and objectives of the institution, the Departments of Nursing and NYU Langone Health strategic area.
• Demonstrate ability to differentiate those activities which are professional nursing practice, and those that may be delegated to ancillary staff.
• Participate in Unit Practice Council and Nursing Wide Councils (indirect or direct).
• Participate in quality improvement programs and activities that promote patient, family, physician and staff satisfaction.
• Educate the patient and family to facilitate and promote health adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
• Evaluate the patients progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.

Education:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required

Experience:

• Minimum of one year Pediatric nursing experience required

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
• BLS Certified through the American Heart Association
• PALS certification preferred
