Part Time Nursing Lecture Instructor

General Description

SUNY Niagara seeks a part‑time instructor to teach Nursing content in the Associate Degree Nursing Program or Practical Nursing Program on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 2 lecture hours per day. Instructors are required to complete New York State compliance trainings. Classes are held face‑to‑face at the Sanborn campus. Remuneration is $1,008 per lecture hour. The instructor may be contacted about application status at the discretion of the hiring department.

• Teach lecture content in a Nursing course
• Help students during a designated office hour
• Attend and participate in meetings as necessary
• Complete NYS compliance trainings
• Adhere to attendance and college grading policies
• Perform other duties assigned by the Dean of Nursing, Physical & Allied Health

Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations; speak confidently before groups; actively involve and engage students; communicate effectively with students, coworkers, supervisors, and the campus and external community; develop, prepare, and present information; operate computers; physically perform duties of the position.

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or BSN and actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Current NYS License as a Registered Nurse

• Any teaching experience, preferably at a college, particularly a community college
• Content‑specific experience in a clinical setting
