About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Ambulatory Practice for Cardiovascular Surgery at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Location: New York, NY
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

• Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic and psychological health status.
• Develop patient outcome statements and establish individualized goals.
• Coordinate cost-effective use of supplies and document the plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions are followed.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and perform variance analysis for improvement.
• Collaborate with care team members to plan and execute treatment regimens.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years of job entry

• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
