American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Long-Term Care unit requiring an active NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC or Skilled Nursing experience.

• Long-Term Care setting within a 300-bed state/government-run facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• Night shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, totaling 40 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:18-20
• Cares for residents with Alzheimer's and Dementia
• Uses Point Click Care  (PCC) charting system, though experience is not required for consideration
• No floating between units required
• Overtime is not guaranteed and must be approved on a case-by-case basis

• Active NY RN license required with no license hits allowed
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Must pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Strong attendance and punctuality required
• Must be an American citizen;
  Canadian citizens cannot be accepted
• Background hits will be accepted
• 1 verified professional reference required for consideration, with a 2nd required prior to contract start

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely documentation
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units and provide nursing care per facility policy
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills
• Team player with a positive, professional, and personable demeanor
• Able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Shift and RTO cannot be changed once an offer is accepted
• Holiday RTO will not be approved through the agency and must be arranged directly with the facility after starting
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
• Any call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours notice
• Shifts begin 15 minutes early and end 15 minutes late; failure to comply may result in attendance write-ups
• Scrubs may be any solid color with closed-toe shoes required
• Free parking available; no mileage reimbursement offered
• Compliance process takes approximately 1.5-2 weeks
• Required training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to assignment start
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
