• The CRNA is an advanced practice Registered Nurse that is an active member of the Anesthesia team who can practice autonomously and under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
• Delivers professional anesthesia services and support that are consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of the healthcare system.
• Provides care for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pain management.
• Provides continuous vigilant observation of patients by monitoring the patient's physical reaction to sedatives, analgesics, and anesthetic agents and can treat any effects that these therapies may cause.
• Informs and asks for assistance from the supervising anesthesiologist for any adverse condition that may potentially threaten the safety of the patient under their care.
• Responsible for anesthesia equipment setup that is required prior to delivering patient care.

• BSN Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs or its predecessor Required.
• 1-3 years' Previous experience as a CRNA preferred, but recent graduate of an approved program will be considered.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
  - National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists Required, and
• Registered Nurse New York
  - New York State Board of Nursing Required, and
• BLS
  - American Heart Association Required.
• ACLS Required.
• PALS Required.
