The Patient Care Director – RN for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at New York-Presbyterian is responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting a culture of safety and quality. • Assume first line leadership responsibility for managing patient care delivery on the assigned unit.
• Facilitate efficient and cost-effective daily operations related to patient throughput.
• Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to establish unit short and long-term goals.
• Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.

• Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing in a related field preferred (must be completed within 1 year of hire if currently pursuing)
• Experience:
  • At least 3 years of acute care RN experience in the ICU required
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification preferred
