About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room at Northwell Health is responsible for delivering and ensuring patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and the development of care plans. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to patient education and collaborative care.

Pay: $64 - $94/hour

Location: New York, NY

Facility: Northwell Health

Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift

• Develop and evaluate plan of care.
• Systematically assess patient's knowledge base and health through interviews and examinations.
• Consult with multidisciplinary health care team regarding nursing assessment findings.
• Create individualized plan of care based on patient problems and input from the care team.
• Communicate changes in patient status to appropriate team members.
• Provide and/or delegate patient care according to established protocols.
• Conduct clinical rounds, provide emergency care, and administer medications.
• Document patient care on all appropriate forms.
• Identify patients' learning needs and educate them and their families.
• Participate in Quality Improvement processes and unit staff meetings.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of ED experience preferred.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BCLS, ACLS, or PALS required.
