- Carry out patient care responsibilities emphasizing decision-making in the nursing process.
- Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established standards.
- Formulate the initial plan of care with the provider and collaborate on a comprehensive patient-centered plan.
- Collect, assess, and document patient healthcare data.
- Involve patient/family and interdisciplinary team to identify a realistic and measurable plan of care.
- Prioritize care based on collected data.
- Document assessment and reassessment in medical records.
- Implement interventions in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner.
- Educate the patient/family regarding health status and established plan of care.
- Evaluate the patient's progress towards expected outcomes.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required
Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience required
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current Registered Professional Nurse License in New York
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
