LPN – Behavioral Health

Schedule:

Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:00)

Assignment Details:
Average Daily Census: 20 residents.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification.
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience required.
• Ability to float per facility needs.
• Must cover weekends every other week.
• Travelers accepted; locals must be greater than 75 miles.
• Skills necessary:
  Locked unit experience, skilled nursing facility or nursing home experience, behavior management techniques, managing assaultive behavior, blood glucose monitoring/testing, de-escalation protocols, intake and output monitoring, isolation precautions, labeling of specimens, and vital sign monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to residents with behavioral disturbances related to Alzheimer's and other dementia diagnoses.
• Implement behavioral management strategies tailored to individual resident needs.
• Manage medication administration and monitoring.
• Assist in the development of daily routines and discharge planning.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the stabilization of residents.
