Glenmont Job Corps Center is looking for a dedicated RN to join our Wellness Team!

This isn't your traditional hospital nursing position.

You'll work in a student-centered health and wellness environment, helping young adults stay healthy, manage medical needs, understand their health, and receive the care and resources they need to successfully participate in the Job Corps program.

Think of this role as part nurse, part health educator, part care coordinator, and part student advocate. Schedule Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Hours Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week Location Glenmont Job Corps Center And Yes—No Regularly Scheduled Weekends!

Our students are working toward their education, career training, independence, and future employment.

But it's difficult to focus on those goals when you're not feeling well.

That's where our Wellness Team comes in.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll help provide students with accessible, compassionate, and professional healthcare services right on Center.

Your role is to help students stay healthy, address medical concerns, manage ongoing health needs, and connect with outside providers when additional care is necessary. What Will You Do? Provide Student Healthcare You'll help address students' everyday health needs while also being prepared to respond when something more urgent happens.

Responsibilities may include:

Assessing student health concerns

Providing preventative healthcare services

Responding to illnesses and injuries

Providing appropriate emergency nursing care when needed

Monitoring students with ongoing or chronic health conditions

Following established treatment plans and healthcare protocols

Determining when additional medical evaluation is necessary

You'll help students understand:“Here's what's happening, here's what you need to do, and here's what happens next.” Help Students Manage Their Medications Medication management is another important part of the Wellness Department.

You'll help:
Oversee medication administration Maintain accurate medication records Monitor medication-related concerns Follow required documentation procedures Protect confidential health information

You'll help ensure medications are handled safely, accurately, and according to established procedures. Coordinate Care When Students Need More Support Not every healthcare need can be handled on Center.

When students need additional care, you'll help connect them with the appropriate resources.

This may include coordinating referrals for:
Medical services Dental care Mental health services ️ Specialists Pharmacy services Hospitals or urgent care Community healthcare resources

You'll help make sure students don't simply receive a referral—you'll help support the continuity of their care. Support Students With Ongoing Health Conditions Some students may arrive at Job Corps with chronic or ongoing healthcare needs.

You'll help monitor and coordinate appropriate care so students can continue participating safely in their education and career training.

That may involve:

Reviewing health information

Monitoring chronic conditions

Helping students understand their care plans

Coordinating with healthcare providers

Supporting medication management
