Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager-Nursing Professional Practice-Day Shift (35 Hours).
In this role, the successful candidate The Program Manager is responsible for running the day to day operations of the Nursing Education department by overseeing each days educational activities. In addition, the Program Manager will assist the Director in planning and coordinating all orientation schedules, including rooms, handouts and materials, and speakers; creating marketing tools for educational programs including the annual calendar and web site;

coordinating the student placements for undergraduate and graduate students of nursing ; managing the NYSNA provider programs and coordinating the entries of the Dept into the Geo Learning Learning management system

• Oversees tracking of educational activities and competency assessments in the acustaf system or the Learning Management system.
• Works as a liaison between the Department of Nursing Education and Nursing Recruitment, Media and AV Services, Room Management, Nursing Office, Nursing Payroll, Human Resources, outside vendors, clinical engineering, central supplies and other NYULMC departments.
• Coordinates the on-boarding orientation schedules for all new hires processed through the Department of Nursing Education, including RNs, Student Nurse Externs, Ancillary Staff, Travel Nurses.
• Manages the Acustaf Schedule for the department.
• Performs administrator role for all continuing education provider unit activities; manages the Annual Report for Provider Status maintenance and assists the Director in preparation for renewal of provider status.
  
  Ensures compliance with requirements of AACN/state nursing association.
• Receives and processes requests for student placements, prepares placement assignments and communicates with Colleges of Nursing regarding these placements.
• Creates marketing strategies and activities to enhance communication of Nursing Education department programs to include in house flyers, and web site production.
• Tracks and processes expenses and revenues of the department of nursing education.
• Assists Nurse Educators in securing presenters,acquiring required documentation and organizing materials for continuing education programs and other programs as indicated.
• Creates and manages par levels for learning materials and equipment used in the department.
• Creates an organized data management system to be used by all members of the Dept. of Nursing Education in service specific as well as centralized nursing education activities. Applies this organization program to management of the shared network used by the Department of Nursing Education.
• Supervises staff and directs day-to-day work activities, including assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, establishing schedules, monitoring productivity and performance, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with departmental goals, policies, procedures, and standards.
