Assistant Nurse Manager - CSICU - Night Shift

The Assistant Nurse Manager for CSICU is a Registered Professional Nurse who serves as a clinical leader in the daily operations of the unit, ensuring quality patient care delivery alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

• Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Assist in validating staff members' hourly rounds on all patients through observation and feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
• Conduct daily rounding of all patients when the Nurse Manager is away.
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery.
• Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.

* Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required;
  Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.

* Experience:

• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience;
  Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.

** Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in New York State.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
