Clinical Nurse- Environmental Medicine

• Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
• Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
• Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning post-hospital care.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their care plans and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care.
• Conduct Purposeful Hourly Rounding on assigned patients addressing the 4 Ps.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Experience: Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.

  • Basic Life Saver (BCLS) certification required.
  • NRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU).
  • ACLS certification (various departments).
