The Ambulatory Care Nurse (Per Diem) at NYU Langone Health will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to providing comprehensive patient care and improving health outcomes.

• Pay: $70/hour
• Location: Brooklyn, NY
• Facility: NYU Grossman School of Medicine
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collect patient health history.
• Record information in electronic health record.
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform patient triage.
• Assess and monitor patient responses to treatments and procedures.
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans.
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants.
• Support the coordination and implementation of nursing practice and clinical policies.
• Participate in quality initiatives to impact clinical outcome measures.

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required;
    Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon approval from Nursing Leadership.
• Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area.

  • Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
