Position: RN Supervisor
Location: Staten Island, New York
Schedule: Part-Time | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $55.00–$60.00 per hour
Staten Island Care Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and support during the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift. Working closely with the Director of Nursing, the RN Supervisor will help ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, appropriate staffing, and efficient nursing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist nursing leadership with oversight of daily clinical operations
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Monitor staffing levels and ensure appropriate coverage for each shift
- Conduct routine rounds to evaluate resident care and staff performance
- Participate in regulatory surveys, inspections, and compliance initiatives
- Support care planning, resident assessments, and discharge coordination
- Oversee medication administration and treatment procedures
- Address staff concerns and workplace issues professionally and effectively
- Welcome and orient newly admitted residents and their families
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide direct nursing care as needed
- Assist with staff evaluations and performance improvement initiatives
- Active, unencumbered New York RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing home experience required
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
