The Telemetry team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where nurses collaborate closely to provide exceptional cardiac and telemetry care. The 21-Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain valuable experience caring for a diverse patient population while working alongside experienced leaders and a strong interdisciplinary team.

How you'll contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

  • Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
  • May administer medication.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state LPN license. Associate's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

  • Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred (Telemetry or Cardiac)
