Company Description
Quail Hill Farm operates on 20 acres in Amagansett, NY on the East End of Long Island. With a team consisting of 2 year-round growers (the Farm Director and Farm Manager) and 6-7 seasonal staff, we grow a highly unique pick-your-own Summer CSA, a Winter CSA, and other wholesale partners. We also focus on food access programming by running a donor-funded farm-to-food pantry program and also offer sliding scale CSA pricing.
Quail Hill Farm grew over 60 types of vegetables and more than 250 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. Quail Hill Farm began in 1990, and its apprenticeship program has grown along with the farming operation since its founding. As a stewardship project of the Peconic Land Trust, a 501‑c3 not-for-profit founded in 1983, Quail Hill Farm is at a unique intersection of community farming and land conservation work.
Coordinator
The Farm Coordinator is a full-time seasonal position from March 1 to December 19, 2026. They are responsible, in coordination with the Sr. Farm Manager, for the crew leadership, as well as the oversight and training of Advanced Apprentices.
The Farm Coordinator will serve as a point person for 1-2 areas or “rotations” on the farm. Rotations are assigned based on experience and interest and may include 1-2 of the following areas:
Greenhouse, Transplanting, Cultivation, Irrigation, Harvest, Flower, Wash‑Pack and/or CSA Coordination. The Farm Coordinator executes daily work plans and upholds all aspects of a safe, healthy, and highly productive workplace. The Farm Coordinator is also responsible for Tractor Operation as well.
