Dog Groomer

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dog Groomer to join our team. We are a old school barber shop inspired dog groomer located across from Radio Bakery (right off the G train). We are looking for groomers open to full time or part time. We are offering a mix of hourly pay and/or commissions. Previous experience is required, small animal care and handling certificate is preferred, but not necessary.

• Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing for dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Handle animals gently and confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures
• Restrain pets appropriately using animal restraint techniques to facilitate safe grooming
• Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area, tools, and equipment in accordance with health standards
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions.
• Monitor pets for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions, report all concerning behavior.
• Manage heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment

• 2+ plus experience in a dog groomer.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods
• Strong animal handling skills with patience and compassion for pets of all temperaments
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or equipment)
• Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is preferred.
• Basic veterinary experience or familiarity with veterinary procedures is preferred but not required.
