FORECON, Inc., a long-established forestry and natural resource consulting firm, is seeking a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser to join our appraisal team. This position focuses on the valuation of forestland, vacant land, and recreational properties for private, institutional, conservation organizations, and government clients.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections and appraisals of rural and forested properties
- Analyze comparable sales and develop valuation models
- Prepare high-quality appraisal reports
- Work directly with clients and senior appraisal staff
- Travel primarily within NY, PA, and WV, with occasional regional assignments
- Ability to obtain reciprocal or temporary licenses in multiple states
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Willingness to work outdoors and travel to remote properties
- Experience with forestland or recreational properties is a plus—but not required
- Competitive salary based on experience ($75,000 to $110,000)
