This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Candidates must be available to consistently work these scheduled days.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:- Providing attentive care for boarding animals
- Maintaining a clean and organized hospital environment (cleaning, laundry, and general upkeep)
- Safely handling and restraining patients
- Administering medications and filling prescriptions as directed
- Assisting veterinary technicians and doctors with treatments and procedures
- Supporting special projects and daily hospital needs with professionalism and positivity
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine (preferred)
- Friendly, professional, and effective communication skills with clients and team members
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (including wiggly patients!)
- Comfort working in a veterinary environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases
- Competitive hourly pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
