Job Summary
We are seeking a Pet Counselor to join our team! As a Pet Counselor, you will spend your days caring for animals, including feeding, refilling water bowls, offering treats, and providing companionship. You will also ensure the environment is clean and safe, and socialize or walk animals as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with all types of animals, can work on their feet for long periods, and works well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow guidelines to feed all types of animals, ensuring proper dietary requirements are met
- Clean and maintain pet enclosures and daycare areas to ensure a safe, healthy environment
- Socialize and exercise animals as needed
- Interact with animals to provide positive human experiences
- Maintain accurate records of animals and care provided during shifts
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and types
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Familiarity with basic computer programs
