Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Veterinary Technician at our East Setauket, NY location. The Licensed Veterinary Technician will perform essential day-to-day tasks, including providing high-quality animal care, assisting veterinarians during exams, surgeries/procedures, and administering treatments. Responsibilities also include client education about pet health and wellness, preparing animals for procedures such as anesthesiology, and ensuring pets receive comprehensive care.

The role requires maintaining patient records with accuracy and a commitment to delivering excellent service to both animals and their owners.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Animal Care and Pet Care to provide comprehensive and compassionate services to animals.
  • Proficiency in Veterinary Technology, including the ability to assist veterinarians and perform diagnostic tests and treatments.
  • Skills in Anesthesiology to properly handle animals undergoing surgical or other relevant procedures.
  • Capability for Client Education to communicate effectively with pet owners regarding health, care tips, and treatment plans.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills to maintain patient records and manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials required; prior experience in a veterinary clinic is highly desirable.
