Join Concrete Safaris for our Garden Volunteer Session to spruce up our gardens! We will be doing a variety of garden maintenance activities that consist of repairing raised beds, shoveling topsoil, picking up trash, weeding, and more. Dress in layers and bring a water bottle. Activities vary.
WHERE:
Meet at 1775 Third Avenue at 98th Street and Third Avenue just east of the flag pole within Washington Houses. If you arrive after the start time for this event, meet us in the gardens just south of the flag pole between 98th and 97th Streets and Third and Second Avenues. These gardens can be seen from the meeting point.
WHAT:
Volunteers will help with garden maintenance activities at Mad Fun Farm such as spreading woodchips, shoveling compost, removing weeds, raking, trash removal, and more.
BRING WITH YOU:
Please wear comfortable clothes, proper footwear, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle. Food will not be provided, so bring a bagged lunch or order from one of East Harlem's amazing local eateries. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
