Clinvet NY is a global veterinary contract research organization (CRO) specializing in in-vitro, preclinical, and clinical trials to evaluate the safety, metabolism, and efficacy of animal health products. The Licensed Veterinary Technician supports research operations by performing technical procedures, assisting with study activities, and ensuring high standards of animal care. This role works closely with study coordinators and researchers in a hands‑on, fast-paced environment.

• Assist with study activities and technical procedures following established protocols
• Handle and restrain animals as directed
• Observe and report changes in animal health, behavior, and consumption patterns
• Collect specimens (e.g., blood, parasites, microbiological swabs) for analysis
• Accurately record and maintain study and animal health data

• Administer medications and treatments
• Prepare and manage feeds and specialized diets
• Provide pre- and post-operative care
• Receive, transport, and/or ship animals
• Feed, water, groom, and exercise animals
• Clean and sanitize animal rooms, cages, and equipment
• Transfer animals, supplies, and equipment as needed

• Active New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required
• Laboratory animal or research experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand and remain active for an 8-hour shift
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on environment with animals and sanitation duties
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be fit for duty and able to work safely

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Typical schedule:
  
  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Alternating weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

• Salary negotiable; based on experience
• Health, dental, and vision insurance (employee coverage starting at $0.01 per pay)
• 401(k) with company match up to 5%
• 3 weeks of PTO in the first year (increases with tenure)

• Our facility is USDA-licensed and AAALAC-accredited
