Small Animal Associate Veterinarian
Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join an established and expanding veterinary team in Mendon, New York. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule alongside a varied medical caseload, with an emphasis on delivering thoughtful, high-quality care and developing lasting relationships with pet owners.
The clinical environment is well equipped for veterinarians who enjoy practising comprehensive medicine, with digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, laser therapy and advanced anaesthetic monitoring available. Experienced licensed veterinary technicians and dedicated support colleagues help veterinarians make effective use of their clinical time.
The position provides scope to work across general medicine, dentistry and surgery while continuing to develop professionally in a collaborative setting.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage medical cases from initial assessment through treatment and follow-up
- Perform routine dental and surgical procedures according to individual experience
- Use diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory resources to investigate cases
- Communicate treatment recommendations clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Work closely with veterinary technicians and colleagues to maintain excellent patient care
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Valid New York veterinary licence
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Commitment to delivering high standards of small animal medicine
