Ready for the next step in your veterinary technician career? H.E.A.L. Veterinary Hospital is seeking a skilled, confident Licensed Veterinary Technician who combines excellent patient care with the initiative and judgment to lead a clinical support team. This is an opportunity to remain hands-on clinically while taking an active leadership role in mentoring team members, directing daily workflow, strengthening accountability, and helping shape how our growing hospital operates.

This is a full-time weekday position with no weekends and flexibility to consider either a four- or five-day schedule. Availability from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Friday and on at least one of our Wednesday or Thursday surgery and dentistry days is required.

What You’ll Do
  • Take an active leadership role in day-to-day clinical floor operations, helping organize workflow, delegate responsibilities, reinforce expectations, and ensure the team is prepared to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for veterinary technicians and assistants, providing clear direction, hands‑on support, coaching, and accountability throughout the workday.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve clinical operations, team performance, and the employee, client, and patient experience.
  • Onboard, coach, mentor, and support the development and retention of veterinary team members.
  • Help foster a culture of ownership, communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop efficient systems that enhance patient care, client service, workflow, and team productivity.
  • Support performance management, employee development, and ongoing technical training.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and contribute to an outstanding client experience.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Active New York State Veterinary Technician license in good standing.
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician with strong clinical skills and the confidence, initiative, and judgment to step directly into a hands‑on team leadership role.
  • Prior experience as a lead, supervisor, trainer, mentor, or go‑to clinical resource is strongly preferred; however, a formal leadership title is not required.
