What You'll DoAssist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with patient care, examinations, treatments, and clinical workflow within the appropriate scope of the Veterinary Assistant role.
Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and exotic patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques.
Prepare examination rooms, treatment areas, surgical spaces, equipment, and supplies for daily appointments and procedures.
Support surgery and dentistry workflows through patient preparation, room setup, instrument preparation, cleaning, and recovery assistance under the direction of the veterinarian or LVT.
Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize instruments and maintain organized treatment and procedure areas.
Help maintain accurate patient information and communicate relevant observations promptly to the clinical team.
Anticipate the needs of veterinarians, LVTs, patients, and teammates throughout the workday.
Assist with inventory organization, restocking, laboratory preparation, and general hospital readiness.
Follow established hospital protocols, checklists, safety standards, and patient-care procedures.
Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, respectful communication, and continuous improvement.
Help maintain a clean, calm, organized, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and team members.

Who We're Looking ForPrevious professional experience working as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting is strongly preferred.
Confident animal-handling and restraint skills with dogs and cats are required.
Experience supporting surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, laboratory work, or patient recovery is strongly preferred.
