Companion Animal Veterinarian – New York, NY

A well-established veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values quality patient care, professional growth, and a supportive practice environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
  • Perform routine surgical procedures and support ongoing patient care
  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and preventive care plans to clients
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets
  • Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Continue developing clinical knowledge and skills through mentorship and continuing education
  • Contribute to a positive and team-oriented practice culture
Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Active veterinary state license
  • DEA license preferred or ability to obtain
  • USDA accreditation preferred or ability to obtain
  • Experience with general medicine and basic surgery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, collaborative, and client-focused approach
