Our client is seeking a compassionate and clinically confident Associate Veterinarian to join a busy small animal setting where high-quality medicine and thoughtful client communication are central to the role. The position offers exposure to a broad caseload spanning preventative healthcare, diagnostics, dentistry, medical treatment and surgery.
The successful veterinarian will work alongside experienced clinical and support professionals while retaining the opportunity to exercise sound medical judgement and develop lasting relationships with pet owners. This position would suit someone who enjoys collaborative medicine, values continued professional development and is comfortable managing cases from initial examination through treatment and follow-up.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:- Manage consultations, diagnostic investigations and treatment plans across a varied small animal caseload
- Undertake surgical and dental procedures while maintaining consistently high clinical standards
- Guide pet owners through diagnoses, treatment choices and ongoing preventative healthcare
- Maintain detailed patient records and prescribe medications in accordance with appropriate protocols
- Contribute to efficient daily case management and constructive collaboration across the clinical team
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
- Current or eligible New York veterinary license with required professional registrations maintained
- At least one year of veterinary practice experience preferred
- Confident diagnostic, surgical and dental capabilities with sound clinical judgement
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patients and their owners
