Curator, Collection Manager, Senior Keepers, Wildlife Health Center Staff

Schedule:

8:00am – 5:00pm

The Turtle Care Assistant will assist keepers and WHC staff with the daily tasks associated with the care of confiscated turtles/tortoises housed at the Bronx Zoo.

• Preparing and distributing diets
• Cleaning and preparing of animal enclosures
• Washing dishes
• Keeping work areas clean
• Basic turtle/tortoise husbandry (soaking, weighing, health assessments, etc.)

• High School Diploma (College coursework in related field preferred)
• Interest in reptiles and amphibians. Previous experience caring for reptiles and amphibians preferred.
