Pay Range$22 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. The upper end of the range is not guaranteed.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

The In Vivo Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of in vivo bio‑methods and animal care procedures to support research within the Services program. They must complete these procedures accurately and timely, following established protocols, and maintain thorough documentation.
Core Responsibilities- Perform in vivo bio‑methods such as IV, IP, SQ injection, cell preparation, blood collection, and tissue harvests.
- Handle housing husbandry in various paradigms.
- Execute project instructions, including breeding diagrams and project charters.
- Maintain accurate records in project databases and record detailed procedure logs.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring scientific and technical quality, meeting timelines, and submitting reports.
- Carry out weekend/holiday observations of the animal colony on a rotating schedule, checking feed, water, recent surgeries, and other non‑surgical duties.
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent technical experience.
- Preferred certifications: AALAS, LVT, CVT.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a specialized technical field requiring extensive training and problem solving.
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Regular physical exertion, including climbing, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Regular use of chemicals, protective measures, and heavy machinery; exposure to occupational hazards and extremes in temperature, weather, odors, and noise.
