  • Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Provide positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone, and resolving or escalating patient problems.
  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law, including accurate put‑away of medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories.
  • Contribute to a high‑performing team, embracing a growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, traveling to other market stores as required.
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards, protecting patient privacy and security.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics) where lawful and supported by required training.
Immunization Responsibilities (where permissible)
  • Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
  • Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer to pharmacist‑on‑duty for vaccination questions.
  • Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.
  • Collect and document patient information, track and manage vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Comply with all state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure/certification; if not specified by the board, must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet state‑level licensure and national certification requirements as applicable.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
  • Exhibit attention and focus, including concentrating on tasks, pivoting quickly, and ensuring prescription accuracy.

  • Communicate effectively, using verbal and written skills, active listening, and clear instructions.
  • Apply mathematical reasoning to calculate prescription quantities.
  • Resolve customer and colleague issues by choosing appropriate actions.
  • Meet physical demands such as mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, repetitive finger movement, and maintaining visual acuity for detailed tasks.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
