Location: New YorkMixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Processing Pharmacy Technician in our New York pharmacy. We are looking for a Technician who is obsessed with details and is driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our NY operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.
Prepare orders for our pet parents by confirming customer data; counting, filling and labeling medications; and packing ordersEnsure accuracy of patient information and records, and update as necessaryCheck for completeness of prescriptionsHandle customer interactions in a friendly and professional mannerPartner with pharmacists and logistics team to troubleshoot issues, work on special projects to improve quality and efficiency, and drive a smooth operationKeep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with California State Board of Pharmacy & Federal regulations and company policies and proceduresMaintain an organized work area and upkeep the appearance of the pharmacyCross-train across other Mixlab functions over time including customer service, logistics, and compoundingChampion the pet parent experience by recommending digital process changes and troubleshooting bugsYou have at least 2 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician directly with pharmacists in a compounding pharmacyYou have experience working in veterinary care or the medical field, or a strong interest in working in the fieldYou have strong attention to detailYou have a customer-focused (and in our case, a pet-focused!) mindsetYou thrive in a fast-paced work environmentYou have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and are a collaborative, team-playerYou have an all-hands-on-deck attitude with an ability to remain calm and excel under pressureYou have the ability to learn and adapt to new processes and proceduresYou constantly strive to “wow” clients and patientsYou have a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityYou are scrappy and resourcefulYou’re not afraid of wearing multiple hats - you pitch in to help the team when necessaryYou have flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysMUST LOVE PETS and their people!Physical Requirements:
Excellent hand-eye coordination, and ability to move, lift, or carry up to thirty (30) poundsYou have experience working in a data processing, fulfillment, or retail roleYou have a customer-focused (and in our case, a pet-focused!) mindsetYou thrive in a fast-paced work environmentMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Pay ranges at Mixlab are based on competitive market data for our industry and company size. In addition to base pay, our total compensation package for full-time employees includes benefits and equity. We determine individual pay based on qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset, and we expect offers made to candidates to fall throughout the range advertised.
