NYU Langone Sunset Park - Dental School Health

Program Overview

Sunset Park Ameri Corps is a full‑time service program for people ages 18+. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Members work directly with the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, supporting the Dental School Health Program through parent outreach, school‑based engagement activities, and administrative support to promote student enrollment, oral health awareness, and access to preventive dental services.

• Assist with outreach calls, emails, and follow‑up to parents/guardians regarding enrollment and program services.
• Assist with preparation and distribution of outreach mailings, enrollment packets, and educational materials.
• Support outreach and engagement activities during school events.
• Provide oral health education and promote awareness of preventive dental services.
• Maintain, update, and reconcile electronic enrollment and outreach databases to support tracking and reporting efforts.
• Assist with identifying enrollment opportunities and tracking follow‑up activities with families and schools.
• Support coordination and communication with school personnel and community partners.
• Assist DSH administration with data collection, reporting, and documentation related to outreach and enrollment activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned or volunteered in alignment with NYU Langone Family Health Centers’ mission, goals, and values.
