Temp to Perm Compliance Auditor

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Auditor to join a healthcare compliance team in Brooklyn, New York. The Compliance Auditor will apply advanced regulatory knowledge and analytical judgment to conduct risk assessments, perform independent compliance audits,and support the development and execution of the annual compliance audit plan.

This role is responsible for evaluating compliance with governmental, contractual, and regulatory requirements while identifying systemic risks and supporting effective, sustainable remediation.

Compensation : $40-50 per hour

• Monday–Friday
• 8:30 AM–5:30PM
• 40 hours perweek

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments and contribute to the development and execution of the annual compliance audit plan.
• Design and implement comprehensive, risk-based audit programs to assess compliance with governmental, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform independent audits and monitoring activities in accordance with the approved audit plan, including appropriate scope, testing, and documentation.
• Identify root causes and systemic compliance risks and clearly document observations and findings with defensible supporting evidence.
• Analyze audit results and communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations effectively to compliance leadership and operational stakeholders.
• Partner with operational leaders to develop, monitor, and validate corrective action plans to ensure timely and sustainable remediation.
• Monitor audit outcomes and trends and report progress and residual risk to compliance leadership and governance committees as appropriate.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
• Provide targeted compliance education and advisory support to management and other stakeholders.
• Serve as acollaborative, accessible, and solution-oriented compliance resource.
• Conduct site visits at locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City,Westchester, and Long Island.
• UtilizeAI-assisted audit tools to support evidence collection, workflow management, and report drafting.
• ConductAI-specific compliance audits to evaluate the accuracy and regulatory alignment of operational reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Compliance Department goalsand responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree in Healthcare Administration, Political Science, Social Science, ora related field required.
• Minimum of 3years of healthcare audit experience, preferably within a health insurance plan.
• Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry rules, regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Billing andcoding experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, statistical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, risks, and compliance issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability towork independently while collaborating effectively with operational and compliance leadership.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various sites throughout the five boroughs,Westchester, and Long Island.
