Position OverviewWe’re looking for a Quality Control Engineer to support our expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring quality, durability, and compliance across field inspections, testing, and project execution.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate day‑to‑day quality control activities with subcontractors on the field.
- Interpret and review project drawings and technical specifications to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report any deficiencies or deviations from standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Submit daily inspection reports within 8 hours with minimal revisions.
- Maintain 90%+ completion of all assigned safety training.
- Target zero avoidable safety or equipment incidents.
- Maintain 95% on‑time site check‑in/check‑out.
- Achieve less than 1 serious issue per quarter related to inspections, measuring, and test equipment due to technician error, lack of maintenance, or lost/damaged equipment.
- Maintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting tools.
- Review and verify technical documents (e.g., WPS/PQR, lab results, etc.).
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and QA/QC Specialists.
- Contribute to lessons‑learned discussions and workflow improvements.
Must Haves
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in a quality control role, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Port Authority project requirements is a must.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and site procedures.
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
