Director of Quality Assurance
Curtiss Wright's Target Rock (TR) Business Unit located in East Farmingdale, NY is looking multifaceted leader to head up our Quality Department. TR is 200,000 square foot, heavy manufacturing facility with a staff of 320 team members. As our Director of Quality Assurance you will report directly to the General Manager, as a Senior Leader Team member, and be responsible for directing and managing the TR Quality Management System. The successful candidate must be able to navigate complex quality systems and issues in our United States Navy and Nuclear markets. They must also drive product and process improvement while significantly enhancing Quality Assurance and Quality Control effectiveness and capabilities.

Salary range: $170,000 - $210,000 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:
- Direct and improve the daily operations of Inspection, Quality Engineering and NDE activities
- Be the direct liaison with customer and government Quality Assurance management representatives
- Assure the maintenance of Quality auditing and inspection activities
- Revise and maintain Quality Management System Manual and supporting procedures
- Establish intra and inter departmental training programs
- Facilitate a learning organization driving down escapes, rework and scrap by generating sound root causes, corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Assure that product quality levels are maintained
- Bachelor of Science
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in Quality Assurance and related disciplines
- Submarine Safety, Naval Nuclear and/or Commercial Nuclear quality experience desired
- Diversified background in mechanical and quality related activities
- Minimum five (5) years management experience in management
- Strong leadership, managerial and communications skills
- Must be a US Citizen
- Working knowledge of Defense and ASME Code Specifications
