Location: New York
Position Summary
ACE Consulting is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) with strong federal construction experience to lead and enforce project quality standards on federal projects (USACE, NAVFAC, VA, Air Force, etc.).
The QCM is responsible for implementing and managing the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure all work meets contract requirements, safety standards, and federal specifications.
This role requires strong leadership, documentation precision, and the ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and manage the approved Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Serve as primary liaison with Government Quality Assurance Representatives
- Conduct and document:
- Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up)
- Daily QC reports (RMS/QCS)
- Submittal reviews and tracking
- Ensure compliance with:
- USACE EM 385-1-1 (as applicable)
- Contract specifications and drawings
- Federal quality standards
- Coordinate testing, inspections, and documentation
- Manage deficiency tracking and corrective actions
- Maintain organized project records and audit-ready documentation
- Lead quality meetings and promote proactive issue resolution
- Support project team with a solutions-oriented mindset
- 5+ years of experience as a QCM on federal construction projects
- Current USACE CQM-C Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
- Experience with RMS/QCS systems
- Strong knowledge of federal contract requirements and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents
- Proven leadership and accountability skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, VA, or DoD projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- Background in Division 1 services
- Prior experience working with SDVOSB or small business federal contractors
