Create Wellness is hiring a Quality Lead to build and own the quality foundation that will power Create's next stage of scale. This role sits on our R&D team and reports directly to the VP of R&D and Quality.
What You'll DoQMS & Documentation Ownership: Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Establish and manage change control, deviation management, and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
Lot Release & Compliance: Own all quality documentation (batch records, COAs, specifications) and ensure audit-readiness. Conduct detailed batch documentation and testing review to approve, hold, or reject lots, guaranteeing compliance with cGMP and certification standards.
Testing & External Partnerships: Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party labs (e.g., Eurofins) for testing plans and data review. Manage ongoing compliance with certifications (e.g., NSF Certified for Sport), including audits and corrective actions.
Manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement: Partner with manufacturers to monitor product quality, yields, and trends. Lead quality investigations (OOS, complaints, deviations) and ensure corrective actions are implemented, verified, and documented.
Cross-Functional Quality Leadership: Collaborate with R&D on new product scale-up and specifications. Partner with Marketing and Legal on compliance language and claims. Use consumer feedback (CX) to drive continuous process and product improvements.
Requirements- Experience:
4-6+ years of QA/QC roles within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, beverage, or CPG, with strong preference for gummy manufacturing experience. Hands‑on experience with batch record review, lot quality management, and finished‑goods testing workflows. - Ownership Mindset:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball. - Non‑technical Communication:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical quality concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. - Vendor & Partner Management:
Experience managing third‑party lab relationships and interpreting analytical results. - Bias for Action:

Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment. - Nice to Have:
Experience with Eurofins, NSF Cert for Sport testing, and other supplement certifications.
