We’re looking for a NJSAT HMA Technologist Level 2 to support our expanding portfolio of transportation and infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance of hot-mix asphalt (HMA) materials through field inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities.
What You’ll Do- Observe and inspect hot-mix asphalt (HMA) production and paving operations to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Perform field testing of asphalt materials, including sampling and verification of mix properties
- Operate nuclear density gauges (Troxler or Humboldt) to verify in-place compaction and density
- Collect asphalt cores and prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Monitor temperature, laydown, rolling patterns, and compaction processes
- Submit daily inspection reports within
