Why do we need you ?
The Quality Technician is primarily responsible for the inspection, data evaluation and disposition of all incoming raw materials to ensure conformance to established specifications. Additionally, the technician is responsible for the timely sampling, inspection and determination of acceptability of finished goods and work-in-process materials. He/she is also responsible for communication of product quality standards and assisting production operators in achievement of those standards.
The Quality Technician collaborates frequently with Operations, Engineering and Purchasing to support and address issues that arise, written communication with suppliers is also a function of this position.

* Conduct accurate sampling and testing of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods in accordance with established specifications using laboratory and manufacturing equipment
* Maintain a strong safety focus while working with chemicals, temperature variations, and moving machinery or equipment
* Communicate product quality standards clearly to production personnel and support them in meeting those standards
* Assist with or operate manufacturing equipment as needed to ensure product quality
* Prepare and compile daily shift summary reports and participate in toolbox meetings
* Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and verify required documentation
* Interpret specifications and use judgment to determine material status (e.g., acceptable, hold, reject)
* Support investigations into non-conformities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team-based projects
* Review records to ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
* Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date quality records
* Ensure the laboratory and equipment are clean, safe, and well-organized
* Support environmental, health, and safety programs, including 5S and housekeeping standards

The pay range for this role is $24.00-$28.00 per hour, plus a $1.00/hr shift differential.
Actual pay may vary based on location, internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus of up to 10% of eligible earnings, based on company and individual performance. Bonuses are variable and not guaranteed.
Additional pay incentives include:
* Standard overtime (1.5x hourly rate)
The shift schedule for this role is 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM. Initial training for this position will be on first shift 5:30AM - 2:00PM.

Education
* High school diploma required
* Associate degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred
Work Experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
* Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred

Practical / Technical / Digital Skills
* Ability to independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
* Demonstrates proactive problem-solving with urgency and accountability
* Strong collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders
* Technical aptitude to support equipment, computer systems, and vision systems preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
